Terrina Chrishell

Terrina Christopherhell Stause was born on 21 July 1982. She is most famous for her role as Amanda Dillon in All My Children and Jordan Ridgeway on Days of Our Lives. Stause was born in Draffenville, Kentucky. She attended Murray State University, from where she graduated with a B.A. in theatre in 2003. The name she chose for her middle name "Chrishell", a portmanteau, is a result of the unusual circumstances in the birthing process: her mother gave birth at an Shell station. Chris, an attendant, helped to deliver her baby. In her book, Strause denies the gossip on her birth. Strause told Strause her mother had car trouble and that she stopped at an auto repair shop. As she waited at the station, she was in pre-labor. The attendant in the car was genuinely helpful in getting her to the hospital. Strause was conceived in an in-hospital. When she discovered she was expecting, her mother divorced her from her biological father. Jeff was half Japanese, half Spanish. Jeff is her stepfather. Chrishell Strause had to live in a tent throughout middle school, and thus did not attend school for the full year. In that moment, Strause mentioned washing her hair in the river, taking food stamps, and concealing her personal life from other students. Her parents "struggled with addiction and mental health" and for a period joined the Worldwide Church of God when she was 10 years old. Strause describes her mother as independent and self-righteous.
