Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born August 19, 1965) is an American actress from the United States. Her leading role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The show ended on August 13, 2012, after the conclusion of its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was an educator and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI who was a venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has been a participant in Passover dinners.
