Jennifer Rene Psaki
Psaki, the eldest daughter of three, was born in Stamford Connecticut, in 1978, to Eileen Dolan (nee Medvey) and Dimitrios R. Psaki. Dimitrios R. Psaki is a retired realty developer whose grandfather emigrated in 1904 to Greece and whose grandmother was Irish. The couple was married in 1976. Psaki is also a Polish-American. In 1996 she graduated from Greenwich High School. In 2000 she graduated from the College of William & Mary with the degree of English as well as sociology. She is a Chi Omega Sorority member. Psaki was a backstroke swimmer on the William & Mary Tribe's athletic team for two years consecutively. Psaki started her career in 2001 when she was involved in the re-election campaigns of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was later appointed as the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was in the position from 2005 until 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC announced Psaki as an analyst on the political scene for the 2022 United States Elections and during the presidential campaign in 2024. In 2023, she will host the Peacock streaming program on MSNBC. Her first television appearance came on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in which she spoke about the Robb Elementary School shooting.
